HEIC to JPG Converter
Convert HEIC and HEIF photos to standard JPEG image format with customizable quality settings.
Run tool
This online tool converts HEIC and HEIF photos into standard JPEG format. High Efficiency Image Container files are commonly captured by modern smartphones and cameras, but many websites, legacy software applications, and desktop operating systems still require standard JPEG files for uploading and viewing. Upload your HEIC or HEIF image file or provide the base64-encoded file data. You can optionally specify a numerical quality value for the JPEG conversion, which defaults to 90 if left unchanged. If your original image contains transparency or palette colors, the tool converts the color channels to standard RGB to produce a compliant JPEG image. After processing, the tool provides the converted JPEG file as downloadable data. To ensure a smooth conversion, make sure you provide a valid, uncorrupted HEIC or HEIF file. If the input field is empty or the file data cannot be opened as a supported image, the conversion will report an error.
Instructions
- Select or provide your HEIC or HEIF image file in the Image Data field.
- Optionally adjust the Quality setting or keep the default value of 90.
- Run the tool to start the image conversion.
- Download or copy the generated JPEG image data from the output panel.
Examples
- Convert an iPhone photo file (IMG_4201.HEIC) using the default Quality setting of 90 to produce a standard JPEG image.
- Convert a HEIF graphic file while setting the Quality parameter to 75 to generate a smaller JPEG output file.
FAQ
What happens if my HEIC image has a transparent background?
JPEG does not support transparency. The conversion process automatically converts transparent or palette color channels into standard RGB format before creating the JPEG file.
What is the default quality level for the converted JPEG?
The quality level defaults to 90 when no custom value is entered.
Why did my conversion fail?
Conversions fail if the input image data is empty, if the provided file is corrupted and cannot be opened as an image, or if the server image-processing component is temporarily unavailable.
