Password Generator
Generate strong, random passwords with customizable length, character types, and quantity. Create secure passwords for your accounts instantly.
Run tool
The SmartPlusLab Password Generator creates random, secure passwords tailored to your needs. You control the length (4 to 128 characters), the character categories (uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, symbols), and how many passwords to generate at once (1 to 50). The tool uses a randomness-based selection process to produce each password, so the results are not predictable from the settings alone. If you disable all character categories, the generator automatically uses uppercase and lowercase letters plus numbers to ensure a usable password. The reported entropy value gives you an idea of the password's complexity, calculated from the length and the number of distinct characters available. This tool is ideal for creating strong passwords for online accounts, Wi-Fi networks, or any situation where you need a secure, random string. You can copy the generated passwords directly from the result panel. Each password is generated independently, ensuring variety across multiple passwords. Use it to replace weak or reused passwords with strong, unique ones.
Instructions
- Set the desired password length using the Length field. The minimum is 4 characters, the maximum is 128.
- Check or uncheck the character categories: Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers, and Symbols. At least one category must be enabled.
- Enter the number of passwords you want to generate in the Count field. You can generate up to 50 at once.
- Click the Run button to generate the passwords.
- View the generated passwords in the result panel. Copy them to your clipboard for use.
Examples
- Generate a single 16-character password with all categories enabled: set Length to 16, check all four boxes, set Count to 1, and click Run. You get a password like 'aB3#kL9$zQ2!xY7&'.
- Generate five 8-character passwords with only numbers and symbols: set Length to 8, uncheck Uppercase and Lowercase, check Numbers and Symbols, set Count to 5, and click Run. You get five passwords like '93!7@2#1', '5$8*0%4&', etc.
FAQ
What is the minimum and maximum password length?
The minimum length is 4 characters, and the maximum is 128 characters. If you enter a value outside this range, it is automatically adjusted to the nearest valid value.
Can I generate multiple passwords at once?
Yes, you can generate up to 50 passwords at a time by setting the Count field to a number between 1 and 50.
What happens if I disable all character categories?
If no category is enabled, the generator automatically uses uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers to ensure a usable password.
Is the password generation truly random?
The tool uses a randomness-based selection process to choose each character, so the generated passwords are not predictable from the settings alone.
What does the entropy value mean?
The entropy value is a measure of the password's complexity, calculated from its length and the number of distinct characters available. A higher entropy generally indicates a stronger password, but it is not a security guarantee.
