What the checker measures
Keyword Density Checker reviews supplied text for word frequency and can measure how often a chosen keyword appears. It is useful when you want a quick, consistent count for a draft, product description, landing page, or other text before revising it.
You can provide text, a keyword, or both. Leaving the text empty still produces a successful analysis with zero words, zero keyword occurrences, zero density, and no frequent-word list. Leaving the keyword empty or entering only spaces produces zero keyword occurrences and zero density.
How to check a keyword in text

Paste or type the content you want to review into the text input. Use the text itself rather than a summary so the counts reflect the supplied wording.

Enter the keyword or phrase you want to check. The checker trims extra space around the input, converts it to lowercase, and separates a phrase into its whitespace-separated parts.

Start the analysis using the available control. If you submit an empty text input, the result is still successful, but it contains zero words and no frequent words. If the keyword field is blank, the keyword count and density are zero.

Review the word count, frequent-word list, keyword occurrences, and density. For nonempty text, words are converted to lowercase before word-like tokens are extracted. The frequent-word list contains up to ten tokens and is ordered from the highest count downward.

For a phrase, read the occurrence count as a whole-phrase match rather than a count of unrelated individual words. Matches use the phrase parts in sequence, with word boundaries around the phrase and whitespace between its parts. Copy the result into your editing notes if you need to compare revisions.
How to read the result
The word count reflects the word-like tokens extracted from the supplied text after lowercasing. The frequent-word list helps you see which extracted tokens occur most often, but it is limited to ten entries.
When the keyword is not blank, density is the keyword occurrence count divided by the extracted word count, shown as a percentage rounded to two decimal places. A phrase is counted only when its parts occur in sequence as a whole phrase, so a related synonym, a different word form, or separated wording is not automatically treated as a match.
Use the result as a description of the text you supplied. It does not by itself show whether the wording will improve search performance, affect rankings, or meet a particular writing standard.
Worked example
A store editor wants to review how often the phrase "wireless headphones" appears in a product description before revising the copy.
Paste the product description, enter the phrase "wireless headphones," and run the analysis. Review the phrase count and density alongside the frequent-word list.
The result includes a word count, a list of up to ten frequent lowercase tokens ordered by count, a keyword occurrence count, and a percentage density rounded to two decimal places.
Limitations
- Matching is based on lowercased, whitespace-separated whole-word phrases; the reviewed behavior does not cover synonyms, stemming, alternate word forms, or broader topic meaning.
Common errors
- If a phrase count seems lower than expected, check whether its words appear in the same order with whitespace between them. Enter the phrase without relying on synonyms or alternate word forms, which are not described as matches.
