Currency Converter
Convert amounts between major currencies using official European Central Bank reference exchange rates.
Run tool
The Currency Converter allows you to calculate exchange values between supported currencies using daily reference rates published by the European Central Bank. Enter any numeric amount alongside three-letter ISO currency codes, such as USD, EUR, or JPY. If no values are entered, the tool automatically defaults to converting 1.0 USD into EUR. Currency codes are trimmed of whitespace and converted to uppercase automatically.
When you convert between two identical three-character currency codes, the tool returns the original amount directly with a conversion rate of 1.0. For different currencies, the tool applies official reference rates, rounding the final converted sum to four decimal places and the exchange rate to eight decimal places. The output also displays the official publication date associated with the reference data. These calculations serve informational purposes to help estimate foreign exchange figures rather than binding transactional quotes from commercial institutions.
