FAQ
How does a leap year change the day of the year calculation?
In a leap year like 2024, February has 29 days instead of 28, bringing the total year count to 366 days. Consequently, every date starting from March 1 through December 31 has a day number that is one unit higher than in a standard 365-day year.
What happens if I enter both a full date and separate component fields?
The full date picker input takes precedence. When a valid date string is supplied, the tool computes the result from that date and disregards any values entered into the separate Year, Month, and Day fields.
Which date is used if no inputs are filled in?
When the date input is empty and complete numeric components are not provided, the tool automatically uses the current calendar date at the time of calculation.
How is the year completion percentage calculated?
The percentage is calculated by dividing the day number by the total number of days in that specific calendar year (365 or 366) and rounding the result to one decimal place.
