Generators

Name Generator

Generate random full names from Western, Eastern, and Latin cultural collections with customizable batch sizes.

Run tool

This name generator creates random full names by combining regional first names with matching family names. You can generate a single name or a batch of up to 50 names in one request. The generator supports distinct naming collections, including Western, Eastern, and Latin profiles, making it practical for creative writing, sample customer records, software mockups, tabletop roleplaying games, and character design. To create names, enter the desired number of entries and specify your preferred culture profile. If you enter a culture that is not recognized, the tool uses the Western collection by default. You can also enter an optional gender, but the names are still drawn randomly from the selected culture's full name pool. Every generated entry outputs a complete first and last name combination formatted on its own line, providing clean, readable text that you can quickly copy into your documents, spreadsheets, design prototypes, or test databases.

Instructions

  1. Enter the number of names you want to generate, up to a maximum of 50.
  2. Specify your desired culture profile, such as Western, Eastern, or Latin.
  3. Optionally choose a gender preference if required by your workflow.
  4. Click Generate to run the tool and view your generated names in the result area.
  5. Copy the generated full names directly into your document or project.

Examples

  • Generating 5 Western names creates a list of five randomized full names combining Western first and last names.
  • Generating 3 Eastern names creates three full names drawn from the Eastern naming collection.

FAQ

What is the maximum number of names I can create at once?

You can generate up to 50 names per run. Values higher than 50 are automatically capped at 50.

Which cultural collections are available?

The generator includes Western, Eastern, and Latin name sets. Any unsupported or unrecognized culture entry defaults back to the Western collection.

Does selecting a specific gender change the name output?

If you enter a gender, the generated names are still drawn randomly from the selected culture's full name pool, regardless of the gender you specify.

What happens if an invalid count is entered?

If you enter text that is not a number or leave the count field empty, the tool will generate 1 name.
