Analyze any pasted passage with detailed structural counts, readability scores, and frequency metrics. This dashboard calculates word counts, character totals with and without whitespace, sentence counts, paragraph breaks, and line counts. It breaks down your character inventory across uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, punctuation marks, and spaces. For passages longer than five words, the analyzer estimates syllable counts using vowel-group patterns to produce a rounded readability score between 0 and 100 alongside a descriptive reading level. The tool also detects distinct words, highlights the fifteen most frequent terms, and lists up to five of the longest words found in the text. In addition to vocabulary breakdowns, you receive rounded averages for word length and words per sentence, plus estimated reading and speaking durations calculated at standard pacing benchmarks of 200 and 130 words per minute. If the input area remains empty, all counters reset to zero.

How is the readability score calculated?
For passages with more than five words, the tool estimates syllable density using vowel-group patterns, calculates a rounded score from 0 to 100, and assigns one of six readability ratings.
What pacing rates are used for reading and speaking times?
Reading time is estimated at 200 words per minute, and speaking time is estimated at 130 words per minute, with a one-minute minimum shown for non-blank text.
How does frequency counting handle punctuation and capitalization?
The analyzer splits text by whitespace and normalizes each word to lowercase letters and digits before calculating frequency ranks and distinct word totals.
What happens if the text box is left blank?
Submitting empty or whitespace-only text resets all count metrics to zero, leaves the word lists empty, and marks the readability score as unavailable.
