Calculate a logarithm

Interpret the result and its boundaries

Check the mode as well as the number. The same value can produce different results in configurable-base, natural-logarithm, and base-2 modes. A successful answer is displayed after rounding to 10 decimal places, so the displayed decimal form may be shorter or less precise than an unrounded mathematical expression.

The ordinary positivity rules apply to finite numeric inputs. Non-finite values do not follow those checks uniformly, and NaN can bypass the usual positivity validation. Some infinite or extreme antilogarithm calculations can fail during the mathematical operation instead of returning a structured unsuccessful result. Treat such cases as outside the calculator's dependable input range rather than as ordinary logarithm answers.
